We are halfway into the year 2011. When you look back, what do you see?Are you proud of what you have achieved? Did go everything as planned?

My personal impression is that 2011 has shown me how much life can go in my way. It started with the floods here in Brisbane. I had plans, ready to hit the beginning of the year badly ... but then the water rose.

This is a post from our member Stacy Muetze

Watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I couldn't help but notice that Roald Dahl obviously knew the consequences of being a spoilt brat and wasting your money as opposed to being appreciative of what you have and waiting for an amazing opportunity to arise.

I have just finished reading an article on 'Where is your money going' by Sandy Forster and what caught my attention with reading this was the fact the Sandy realised that she had a vice in her life which when out of control was costing her over $200 per month! Guess what vice that was....... Chocolate! Thats right, sweet tasting, innocent looking chocolate. How did she realise she was spending so much money?

The definition of wealth as taken from Wikipedia is:

Wealth is the abundance of valuable resources or material possessions, or the control of such assets. The word wealth is derived from the old English wela, which is from an Indo-European word stem. An individual, community, region or country that possesses an abundance of such possessions or resources is known as wealthy.

That's my gift. I let that negativity roll off me like water off a duck's back. If it's not positive, I didn't hear it. If you can overcome that, fights are easy. - George Foreman

Having a bad day?

We all have bad days. But if no one picks us up, life is no fun anymore. Stacy shares with us in her post below what keeps her moving. The experience will be different for everyone, but we all can learn from each other.

As we all do at times, I had spent quite a few weeks in a cage of negativity. I let others impact my thoughts and get me down. It was so bad at one stage that I was convinced that encouraging myself to feel positive thoughts was non-sense! Thoughts of anger and hatred! I felt the world was falling down on me and I would never get out. I thought my life was going no-where and that I had lost all control.

What is a plan you ask? Have you ever been on a diet program promising you a loss of 10 kilos in 10 weeks? The plan you may be given is this: All you need to do is eat 4-6 meals a day. Meals consist of healthy whole foods giving a mixture of fats, carbohydrates and protien at each meal. And the portion size is no greater than your hand!

Or what about a goal to do the splits? The plan can be this: Each and every day you are to complete a sequence of stretches known to increase your flexability. Thus by completing these daily routines in 3 months time you will be able to do the splits successfully!

The plan is usually a set routine of tasks to do on a consistant basis to achieve maximum results but as we all know (mostly from personal experience) that at the end of the carefully selected time frame only 3% of all participants succeed while 97% fail. A very small percentage will be close while the rest will fail miserably.

Terry leading his teamHere we go. Terry is a guy who saw the potential of this business straight away. However, he also realised that there is plenty to learn and he acknowledged that it won't happen over night. His enthusiasm and open mind to learn is the driving force in his team. Read below the story of Terry and be warned, when Terry catches the momentum, you won't stop him.

Hi I'm Terry, I'm a plumber by trade that listened to my teachers and parents and got myself a trade but as I completed my apprenticeship the financial crisis struck, and I was retrenched from my job, I was lost... I spent months and months getting work and losing it as everyone else was in the same boat financially.

Stacy Mütze, as currently one of our youngest members, is already playing a key role in her day to day work. Being in a manager position, she is in charge of a team of people and therefore learns to handle responsibility. That is not what they teach you at school. In the today's TFG post, Stacy is sharing how she is growing in our team and what makes her the person she is today. If you want to work with Stacy and her partner Terry Bell ... check out their profile.

I am an assistant manager at a fast food chain. I have found strength in myself to make it this far. My whole life I have been put down for being different and it would be so easy to throw in the towel and just give up. The truth is, I like that I'm different. I don't want to be another drone in this critical world.

Dr Josefine Sprenger, a fellow bHIPPER, a Dr of Philosophy, an Internet marketing guru and most importantly a great friend, shares with us why she has let go of her ego and allows her friends to lend a helping hand.....every now and then.

"A strong man cannot help a weaker unless that weaker is willing to be helped. And even then the weak man must become strong of himself. He must, by his own efforts, develop the strength which he admires in another. None but himself can alter his condition." (taken from Chapter 5 of As a Man Thinketh by James Allen)

Willing to be helped requires a bit of courage, why?

You need to admit to yourself that you need help. For people with a bit of an ego like me, that is a big step. Why should you listen to someone else? Because ...

No selling! No MLM! No late night meetings! No cold calling! No lists! No drawing circles! These words are on everybody's lips these days.

Well everybody that has an opportunity to create passive income that is. Sounds fantastic right? You've heard it all I'm sure. And we go "WOW that's what I'm talking about! I don't have to do ANYTHING and still become a self made millionaire! Woo HOO!!"

Let's take a look at the first statement:

No selling! - Now this one is the main objection for any opportunity you share with someone. Typical response is "I'm not a sales person" or "I love the concept but I hate the sales part". Maybe it's because when we think of 'selling' it usually leads to door to door, telemarketing, or car sales people.
